Jan 1st, 2021And how could I forget this!! My first art of the year. Since DC left Damian and Dick's highly anticipated reunion off screen, my rage drove me to this 🥰🥰🥰 At first it was going to be a full-fledged comic with physical dialogue, but I wrote that one word over Dick's head and it struck me to leave it up to the viewer's interpretation. We all sort of wanted this, and had our own plan for how it would work out, so leaving it down to that one word - the word which I feel sums up Damian and Dick's situation rn - seemed smart. I let YOU do all the word-work. (Cause I'm just a lil lazy
.I finally figured out how to color lol, so my plan was to have Damian just completely miserably "blue", and then as he and Dick reunite, his colors grow warmer and warmer. Similarly, Dick's colors don't change at all. He's Damian's constant, his pillar amidst his split life and, in a way, Damian's split identity too. My personal fav panels are 1 and three, just because Damian's emotion is really there. Please note how clever I am w my coffin-shaped panel boxes 😉
