Description My cat perched on the corner of my mattress and repeated his usual morning greeting of "meow?", which so elegantly translated into, "are you going to wake up and feed me, or am I going to keep asking?"
Benny, my adolescent tuxedo kitty, crawled as clumsily as possible across my neck and chest, turned around to grace me with his cat breath as he continued to remind me that he was a hungry cat who wanted attention.
Had I slept? I didn't remember opening my eyes.
The sunlight sifted through the closed vertical blinds in a random fashion, the vinyl planks danced ever so slightly in the gentle summer breeze, casting brief rays that went from floor to ceiling.
Should I attempt to go back to sleep? Negative, have to pee.
Despite the exponentially growing discomfort of a full bladder, it took several minutes to work up the desire to move even an inch.
Upon sitting up, a lightheadedness took over me, to the point that I had to brace myself. Thinking that the feeling was waning, I stood up. I stood up too soon.
Forward I stumbled, stubbing each foot on the moving boxes on the floor and kicking various contents across the room. Benny, in a fraction of a second, wide eyed and alarmed, noticed the dilemma, and darted into the hallway and out of harm's way. I crashed down onto the laminated wood flooring and hit my head on a dresser door.  A smaller box, containing the contents of my nightstand, teetered on the edge of the dresser, but fortunately did not fall.
Before I slipped into unconsciousness, the cat approached me, sniffed my face, and sat. I swear he was laughing at me.
He once again asked, "meow?"
