The blood stains my hands as I write this letter

The liquid pooling at my feet as I wade through a sea of guilt
Trying to cling to the mortal facade of sanity
That lingers so evilly beyond my reach
The calamity has disturbed me, this I know
I tried to find the way
I tried to open to my soul the floodgates
To let the blood flow away
To dry off and repent
But I have failed
This I know
To die is to sleep
So sleep my son
