Description
Soaring highIn the sky
The gift of flight
…the wonders
The beauty of the world
Seen through different eyes
Separate jewels
Green-rugged sharp and scattered
Blue – rolling gently in the steady rhythm
If only…
If only we could fly
Why, oh why, can’t we fly?
I sit shackled to my desk
Searching the clouds
Praying for wings
Why, oh why, can’t we fly?
To leave the prison of earth
To soar through the air
To just exist
…To have wings
…To fly
…To behold these jewels
To fly…

well.. it can be analysed in different ways, I'd say.. one: that you would actually like to have wings and flap about like a bird and try flying around up in the air.. the other one is more..well I don't know the word for it, but it can be seen as you wanting freedom, to unfold and be yourself.. so in that way I think it works great, but it feels to me like something I've heard many times before, don't know why.. anyway, hope you can use my comment in some way
