Description Foragia was the first (comical) fantasy world I made, back in mid-1990s. It was originally supposed to be some sort of a world for a RPG system that I was making myself (called GASP, in a futile parody of SLUG, FUDGE and GURPS) - of course, I ditched the system pretty fast once I saw how awesome GURPS was. Luckily no one was subjected to that system. The world lived on, however, and in its latest phases (ca. 1997) it was a world for GURPS. Luckily no one was subjected to playing games in the world either. The practical use of the world, however, was that I wrote a bit of a novel at that time... which was pretty horrible in itself too.

The genre was anarchistic shredding of fantasy genre, much in the vein of Bored of the Rings, though less mature and clever, yet, genre-defyingly, with no toilet humour.

This map really takes me back. I mean, really - it has all the hallmarks of a random homebrew RPG map done by a bored, inexperienced youngster. Mordor is north. A lot of place names ripped off from Mystara and reversed for hilarity (ha ha ha cough hmm cough) abound. Stereotypical Jungles and Desertlands with jokes stolen from Donald Duck mag abound.

Yet, the more I look at my recent work on Avarthrel world and this old crap, the more I think that I just ditched all badly copied, unfunny crap and subconsciously took many good ideas from this world to the new one. (Not that any big things are very much visible. It only makes sense if you compare the stuff.)
