Description
"We are the way"
Originally founded before the fall of InterGard, as a mercantile clone-company that would guard inter-universal trade routes and freestations. They fought valiantly against the invading Chessex Imperium, a force that had been conquering universes unknown to InterGard and ultimately claimed the universes controlled by InterGard after they unleashed The Blue Harvestmen. Quite what The Blue Harvestmen were, or how they helped the Imperium win the war is not remembered such was the trauma.
The after the Chessex were defeated by a techno-organic virus which spread throughout their ranks and crumbled them to dust the only intelligent beings left in the Wiggerverse were the Ganic Battleclones. Without a master to guide them the clones fell upon each other in a brutal civil war. Eventually this led to the forming of the Ganic Empire and some semblance of order was restored. The Ganic Empire were a brutal warrior society and the edicts of the Merchant Crusaders, now serving as the elite bodygards of the Clonemaster Council were part of what made it so bloodthirsty. The Ganics would expand out into other universes previously held by the Chessex. While the Chessex ruled over lesser beings, the Ganics brought them to ruination. Descending in glittering dropships and riding thouroughbred clonic steeds the Merchant Crusaders brutalisted many a universe and exterminated perhaps billions of sentient species. The Xhunchu, Furgh-hagh and Protodracons were among the countless interstellar empires reduced to dust. Yet the Merchant crusaders did not hide or deny the atrocities they carried out on behalf of the Council. They made sure every death, every genocide and extermination was recorded and remembered for generations to come. As the millennia wore on the Ganic Empire's dominion of blood and death reached such heights of zeal and fury they did something that was thought impossible; a new god was birthed. The God of Clones. Clones do not have souls and as such cannot form a Godform in the Mirror Realm however this new, anti-soul God seemed to be formed not from the reflections of Clone passion and ambition but rather the actual act of crusade and conquest. This being, Clonestar as it came to be known posed a threat to all reality and so many warring gods from other universes put aside their past disputes in an attempt to stop the expansion of the heirs of InterGard
InterGard may be long, a whisper in the gene-memories of but one in every 10-trillion clones but the impact it has had on the multiversal spiral has never been greater. Perhaps this was the Golden Future that Ronald Reagan spoke of, a time when the "Sons of mankind" would inherit the stars and trample the demons. The "Sons of mankind" were always thought to refer to future humans, but it may have been talking of their humble creation, the clone Ganic. Where the Ganics once served, now they conquer. Undivided by race, sex or creed the Ganics reproduce by "budding" or "buddying" as they call it. A wound suffered by a battleclone may heal into an apple sized polyp which is called a "Buddy" when these buddies are matured they are collected by clone commanders and placed on incubation planets, where the Buddies will transform into eggs which will hatch into miniature clones that soon grow to size. There are other methods of ganic reproduction which will be detailed later.
