Scarlet Claw Chapter 1

Ruby:
Ruby walked with her head held high. Here she was! At THE greatest Guild in Unova! Finally free from her nagging mother, and her boring life as a lady! Here? She would be able to explore the world and find the most valuable of treasures!

And maybe find that stupid Drilshrew that cost me my treasure! She scowled at the thought of the Drilshrew that she had helped, and yet was given nothing but trouble for it!

But her scowl changed to a confident grin as she arrived at her assigned dorm. She swung the door open, and went to stake a claim on the comfiest of the beds.

"Hmmm...... These aren't the comfiest.... But this one shall do." She nodded as she curled up on the bed she would now claim.

Madeleine:
Madeleine was rather happy with himself. He got into the Guild and would not have to toil away like everyone else. No scraping and groveling for coils nor the risk of dying in some gutter somewhere. Instead there was a risk of dying in some dungeon somewhere cold and alone but he determined that it was preferable to the gutter. At least he would have died for a reason. Well, probably. Who knew what kind of back stabbing might go on with his team? At least it would not matter if he stabbed them first, right?

Skittering along on his stubby legs, he long, fluffy body wiggled as he made his way to the dorm. Once he got there, he was relieved to see the door already open. It was hardly a good first impression to have to either headbutt the door or struggle with his tiny limbs.

Peeking inside, his golden ears twitched as he spotted someone was already in there. Mentally shrugging, he padded inside and simply plopped himself down on the closest bed without a care in the world. At least there we beds. Actually, these were much better than the usual stuff he had to deal with! Wiggling until he was curled up and his upper half was draped over his tail, he looked pretty happy with himself. Whoops, it seemed he forgot there was someone else in there. Oh well, not his problem.

Knock:
Unlike the previous entrant when the tiny, the tiny, the less than one foot pokemon made his way up to the door he was disappointed to find it open. How do you made a proud entrance if you can’t throw open the doors in a display of might!? The little one had come here to prove his might and it had already been stolen from him! He would just have to make it known that he’s the toughest after he enters. So in he goes scurrying as proudly as a minikyu can, a little red and white bundle of cloth with two clubbed sticks dragging along behind him. Stopping once inside his beady little black eyes scanned the area, taking in the beds and the other two occupants. Slipping to the side he scurried his way into a way oversized bed and started moving around in it hitting it with his little sticks not unlike how a dog will dig at its bed and circle around.

Once satisfied the little beast turned on his empire of a bed and looked at the other occupants. Lifting his sticks above his head he knocked them together thrice before proclaiming in a surprisingly loud yet high pitch voice
“I Knock, mightiest of all claim this bed for Knock! Challenge Knock if you dare to touch Knock’s bed”

Ruby:
Ruby raised an eyebrow at the Mimikyu. "What's with the speech? Do you not know how to speak properly?" Ruby definitely came off as condescending. But she was Genuinely curious! She had never ever heard such a speech pattern!

"Well, Whatever. I'm Ruby. And this is MY bed! I will stay off yours if you stay off mine! Don't think I won't fight ya!" Ruby's tails lashed almost... Playfully. She was confident, it was easy to see. Or arrogant.

"Hey you! Knock introduced himself! You should too! Hard to believe the one who speaks in third person is still more polite than you!" She huffed.

Madeleine:
Madeleine watched Knock claim a bed and snickered at his little speech from behind a paw, ocean colored eyes narrowing in mocking amusement. Turning his gaze to Ruby, the lightning bolt ending to his tail twitched to thump gently against the floor. Tilting his head, he casually stretched over his tail as if in no hurry to reply to her pompous demand for his name.

Ear twitching, he tilted his head then fixed his expression into something like shock. "Oh, were you talking to me?" he asked, smiling lazily. "I am Madeleine. I don't care if you take my bed. I'll just take your's."

Ruby:
"Hah! Fair enough! But I will have you know that MY bed is the comfiest in the room! I checked before you got here! That's the perk of being first!" She did a hair flip to make herself look cool. "So there is NO way I would steal YOUR bed! You may have it!"

Knock:
ooo a fight! Knock would be very much up for that.... but she was respecting his claim.... that does merit a return respect of claim. The stuffed head seems to bob in agreement? It’s hard to tell with a literal stuffed head. And then it seems to bounce up and down for a moment like it’s supported by a stick on the inside. Mimikyu, who knows what’s going on there. But then there’s the furret fusion apparently named Madeleine. He seemed like one Knock could knock out if needed. Clearly they were hard of hearing so he could just sneak up with a shadow claw if needed. But ooooh a boast?

“Pfft”
and then there’s a series of knocking noice as the Mimikyu pounds his sticks against his bed
“A bed is not comfy until you MAKE it so. You are to fluffy to make bed comfy. Must force bed to be comfy!”
and then he raises his stick arms
“Knock master of making bed comfy. Bed doesn’t dare not be comfy”

Madeleine:
Madeleine listened to their back and forth, pretending to be disinterested though it was honestly fun to watch these two brag at each other. One of them sound like a small child and another looked like she never spent a cent that did not come from papa's bank account. It was an interesting contrast in arrogance that he honestly was totally here for. Plus, it was kind of fascinating to watch Knock move in the same way watching a large pokemon almost trample a smaller pokemon was. Amused, he did not seem to care about their little comfy contest. He was his own bed.

Ruby:
"Oh? Does that truly make a bed comfier? That is not how I was shown to make a bed!" Ruby watched the smaller mon seemingly make a mess of his bed!

But she liked what he had to say..... If the bed wasn't comfy? FORCE it to be comfy! MAKE it comfy! With your own power! The Vulruff grinned, and decided to give it a try.

"I DEMAND you be more comfy! Then she was mimicking the mimic pokemon to the best of her abilities. They must have looked absolutely ridiculous.

Knock:
“YES”

the tiny mon threw up its stick arms

“Show the bed Ruby owns it. Your territory, it do what you say!”

The little thing then waved its sticks about in the air, it’s bitty eyes shining, seems the Mimikyu is excited

“Madeleine should do same! Make your mark! Prove bed is yours!”

And there is more stick arm waving and plush head bobbing as the excited little thing bounces left and right. It’s like little excited chihuahua

“Pack will have best guild beds! Best all other teams!”

Ruby:
Ruby's eyes shone. "YES! We WILL be the best team here! We cannot settle for anything less than that! We will have the best beds, we will do the best work, we will find the best treasure, make the most money....! Yes, I Dare say we shall be the best in the WORLD!" Ruby now stood as tall and proud as much as a 1'6'' Pokemon could stand. At least her fur fluffed up to make her look more... Impressive?

Madeleine:
Madeleine stood up, seeming to loom over the much shorter pokemon as he sat back on his hind legs. "I suppose it does look like fun," he commented though that bored tone remained as his ears twitched. Instead of beating his bed into submission, he simply kneaded his tail. It did need a good kneading and cleaning. Things had a tendency to simply get stuck in it. In fact, as he kneaded his staticky fur, an oran berry fell out. Ears perking, he immediately lunged and covered the berry with his body. That was his fuzzy, staticky snack.

Pushing the oran berry into his front paws with his hind ones, he stood up while clutching the berry. Haha! Victory! Giving it a sniff, he mentally shrugged. Well, it was a bit off but it was not moldy. Seems he had struck gold. Tail snacks for the win.

Knock:
.... genius! To make ones territory themselves! Then one can always have territory with them! And WHAT IS THIS!? Them beady Mimikyu eyes seem to grow big as the berry falls out of the other mons fur. Knock stashes things in his costume too! This beast is a giant Mimikyu. And the stick arms are swinging above the head and happy Mimikyuness! Giant Mimikyu and best team for the win!

“BESTEST BEST. Have giant Mimikyu, strongest Mimikyu, and fluffy fire rock one. All teams know we best! “

the tiny mon is indeed impressed by both the giant Mimikyu and fluffy fire rock mon but honestly it’s less then a foot tall so all things look impressive to it. And then the beady eyes slink back to giant stashy. And a stick points at him

“You good sticky paws? Get all the things when no one looks? All the not mine or her things?”

Ruby:
Ruby wrinkled her nose a bit. "That berry smells.... Old. If you are to eat something, should you not eat from the kitchen?" She questioned.

But her attention quickly turned back to Knock. Then she grinned. "Yeah! We already have the best team! And we will prove it to all those other losers who think they may be better than us!" Ruby fluffed herself up again.

"ANYWAYS. Seeing your Oran berry has made me hungry. I am going to the kitchen to get myself a snack!~ I Do hope they have some Perfect Apples!~" She jumped off the bed with grace and poise, landing on her feet equally as gracefully. "Do you want to come with? We can bring back and hoard all the best snacks." He eyes twinkled with mischeif as she looked back at her two Teamates.

Madeleine tilted his head at the statement and looked around. Were there two mimikyu? He sure was not one. If he was, he was pretty sure he would not have needed a thunder stone to evolve and would be much, much smaller. Mentally shrugging, he turned his attention back to his berry. Glancing at Ruby when she criticized his berry. Maintaining eye contact, he slowly stuffed the berry into his mouth and began to chew. Once he did, he seemed to pretend he had not just made some sort of power move though whether it was imaginary or not was unknown.

Turning his gaze to Knock again, he smiled brightly. Bending down like he was telling a secret, he spoke in a stage whisper. "My paws are very sticky," he replied then straightened and patted Knock with a paw. One could just feel the static coming off of it.

Ears twitching, he turned to see Ruby's graceful leap. Rich girl indeed. Oh but if she was not talking his language. "That actually sounds like a good idea," he stated, sounding almost surprised.

Knock:
OOOOO TINGLE! Giant Mimi was made of sticky! And now they would lay claim to all the best food! The little creature quickly scurried off his own bed to follow behind the two, sticks lifted behind him now and actually moving rather quietly... helps when you dont have feet to shuffle and all there is is the whisper of cloth

"Knock agrees... let us... partake in goodies before others know"

Now they shall own the kitchens as well!
