I had trouble deciding on a title for this. Other choices were "Squirrel as Witness", "Reign of Terror", or "Zappy-Squirty Fate".Wooh, finally done with this thing!
If I remember correctly I started this on Monday, 2/20/12, as a sketch in my sketch book and I finished it tonight, 2/23/12, along with a few other simpler versions that I'll upload tomorrow.This is my tribute to the TV series Invader Zim, a show I've loved ever since it's premiere, and still love. I plan on including this fan art in a snail-mailed letter as my contribution to the letter writing campaign Project Massive , the goal being to bring back the show so it can be continued and eventually have a proper end, instead of being cancelled like it was.
Until then, though, I'll enjoy the Fan Animated Episodes by Soapy Waffles (#SoapyWaffles ).

Exactly! I wish when it had been canceled, Cartoonnetwork would have bought it or something, it would have fit in well with Grim Adventures of Billy and many and I'm sure that channel would have been much more lenient with the content of the show. Oh vell :c

Another show I loved that ended suddenly was El Tigre. It was such a great show and I really wanted to see how it ended. They dropped it for another season of spongebob though |D

I've never heard of Project Massive before now, but I think it's funny that they cite Jhonen's Mindspill posts xD (I've been following him for a while, have you ever read any of his stuff? It's life-changing)
Your picture looks amazing, and I kept accidentally zooming in and out because my brain couldn't understand that I was watching a video and not actually in a paint program that I could scroll up and down in to see other parts of the picture.

I've only just discovered it recently. I noticed that too, and I read a few of his posts after I saw the citation (Mostly only the Zim-related stuff though), one I found particularly interesting was his rant about what people think caused the shows cancellation. That was pretty epic.

I see you've finished the picture. It's awesome and so bright and beautiful I just had trouble trying to figure out where GIR was supposed to be (his shadow is behind Gaz, but it looks like he's flying above her. I think a tiny part of his shadow should be on Gaz's head.) and the shadows of Zim's spider legs don't match up in some places.
It's not one of those blatantly obvious things, though, I just noticed it because I stared at it too hard.

Thank you~ Yeah, the background shadows were the most difficult parts of the picture. GIR is supposed to be a few feet behind Gaz, but his height from the ground makes his shadow closer to her with the moons light. If he fell at a dead stop right now he'd land behind her not on top of her. I didn't really think about size differences and distance when I started this though, so I agree it's a little bit confusing. Even so, I don't think I would have put the shadow on Gaz's head anyway, just because I don't want it there

Wow, you put a lot more effort into the shadows than I would have xD The only area where you can actually tell the spider legs' shadow is off is on the right, where the shadow of the bottom leg stretches too far below it (even if the leg isn't touching the ground, the tip of the shadow shouldn't be very far from the tip of the actual leg)
I am always pleased to donate my annoying staring abilities to a good cause

No I don't believe the date has been released yet, but supposedly it will be announced sometime this month or later. Updates are posted on Facebook if you have one
