Hougen, there's something I want to let you know....Sooner or later you'll regret that you ever even set your hands upon Ohu. My friends will make sure of that. If you think anybody will ever cry out to you in the end, then you're completely wrong. Even if I've lost with my body, my soul is crammed with spirit that will go straight to my firends. A fucking bastard like you can never destroy that.

Yeaaah I know Ginga Densetsu Weed didn't come up top in my 'Which fanart shall I draw' poll, but I felt like it. Originally I just wanted to draw something in GDW style, but then I decided I wanted to draw John because he's amazing, plus the episode I watched for inspiration also happened to be the one he has his dramatic death scene in. But I didn't want to draw him dying, so here he is in his glory days. I used his design from GNG as his new design in GDW annoys me.

I will probably draw Weed or Gin at some point soon just because I still want to try and draw something in the style of GDW/GNG. So um, yay? I swear this is probably one of like...two animes that I've actually watched the whole series of. I'd say it may well be my favourite- despite the fact that I grew out of the anime phase a looooong time ago, it's fond memories to lok back on, I guess.

I wanted to practise drawing in more dynamic poses as opposed to boring poses with little perspective. This pose is inspired by ~KayFedewa and her stunning style of drawing. I admire the huge variety of poses she uses with such ease throughout her comic series especially. If you haven't read BBA, I advise you to check it out- it's my favourite webcomic out of all the ones I've come across so far. Anyhoo. Kay had posted a while back in a journal that she didn't mind people referencing her art and such to improve, so I decided in this picture to try something different and more out there than normal for me by trying to use some of her techniques when it comes to poses and perspective. -Critiques are greatly appriciated!
