Dogzilla was the creation of one of the local mad scientists.

He wanted a simple growth formula, what he got was a hypermutation formula, which made his test animal (an innocent puppy - that MONSTER) into a gigantic scaly, fire-breathing, radioactive pooping monstrosity… with the sweet, innocent heart of a puppy!

The good news? Dogzilla is not malevolent. The bad news? he's still playful, excitable and inquisitive, just like a normal puppy.
Who happens to be about 20-some-odd feet tall.
And is still growing into a full-grown dog.
A Great Dane, no-less!

When he shows up in the city, Zed and the city's other heroes tend to have a LOT of work to do!
