Oh my gosh I love this. What in the world happened?

I REALLY like this. The coloring seems so simple yet so refined. The expression on his face and the angle we see it leaves it quite open to interpretation, which I understand is difficult to do successfully.
Given the more recent design that was used, I can only think of the caption "I Finally Found You." That combined with the blood really hits me hard as a fan of all perceived bonds between Link and Navi.
