History:- Phoenix comes from a background of mystery and seems to lead a group of people though who they are or what they do is unknown. She's human despite her ability to use magic like powers which are related to ancient markings that were branded into her skin as a child though the history is known to few. Her upbringing was more or less normal with the exemption of the branding of mystical markings of unknown origin by her father as a child ((this is thought to be the source of her animosity towards her father as there is no other known event that could cause it)) She grew up with her family until she was fourteen when her parents both died ((she is thought to be the cause of his death as she has said things in the past that could indicate this belief though it is unconfirmed)) and her mother is known to have died via suicide shortly afterwards leaving her alone. She vanished from the human world at that point where she was assumed by humans to have died though the details are unknown. Shortly after she had 'vanished' in the human world, she learned of the meaning of the branded symbols over her arms and summoned upon one of the gods of the people whom the markings originate from ((her father was a descendant of these ancient people; hence how he knew the markings)) For some time she trained under several of the gods' tutelage before she eventually 'returned' to the human world ((by human world I don't mean earth; she never left earth. I mean she came back to the humans that are completely oblivious to the gifted or magic world)) Sometime after this she formed an unknown group who are believed to be a mercenary group of some kind. She also much later tracks a lab and finds Atsuko who she takes in and becomes the guardian of
Personality:- Due to her un-social behaviour, little is known by many of her past or present. Few even know that her powers are linked to the markings on her arms ((Technically the power isn't hers; she acts as a medium which feeds the power of the god she calls upon through her. She simply acts as the medium and controls what form the power takes. Guides it if you like)) Her arms are constantly covered by gloves or arm warmers thus hiding the markings from public view ((thus why few people know her powers are linked to them)) Due to her isolated upbringing ((she was raised away from people)) and her animosity towards her own family, she shares a particular bond of friendship with the gods who she trusts above humans ((she gets along with non-human beings for this reason also)) She seems to be in complete control of the group she leads as when spoken to, they always reply that they work on her orders though they never explain what those orders are; part of the reason finding out what they do is so difficult. Phoenix plays the guardian career figure to the experiment Atsuko
