the mesh between the foreground and the background is rather unsettling. perhaps you intended it that way, but it loses my attention. the background is very well done, and is, in my opinion, more of an asset than the foreground. the foreground, by itself is very nice, although i don't quite understand the light fluk where the mouth is bright and the back of the head is heavily shadowed. don't take this as an insult... just an opinion...
