Description
Something I've been slowly chiseling this week. I decided to do it after having a weird idea come up (also trying to do things slightly different with a process) and well... I might have gone a little too hard on those expressions
Short backstory to boot:
Sir Dornar considered oaths sacred, and when a princess asked if he will protect her even if she were to turn into a monster he swore to do so.
But like many of the citizens he was deceived by a dragon posing as previously missing princess through lies and foul magic. When her plot to overthrow king was revealed Sir Dornar decided to protect princess, not believing what he heard to be real. He was hesitant when she asked for a last kiss, as every virtuous knight would, but he fulfilled her wish not being sure if he can fend off palace's guards by himself. Dragon in this moment cursed him and he changed to what appears half dragon, half man. Taking on her true form and walls crashing down she grabbed him and fled to remote region where she managed to build enough support as a princess, and with a bit of extra magic get opposition into obedience, she established foothold to plot anew. But king's army is approaching and there's little resources to spare.
At the same time torn knight questions his oath, yet he can't deny that the very same dragon showed kindness to people when it posed as princess. Was it just another duplicity? Or perhaps there is a glimmer of goodness in this dragon? He has nowhere to go in his current cursed form so all he can do is try and find his princess dwelling within the beast. And perhaps there is still hope curse can be lifted... if dragon is willing to do it.
But it does not help that dragon started to test his virtues, growing more curious of faithful knight by each passing day.
