Description

I paid my price within
one mere moment of confusion
Panic, terror, anxiety and indecision
Struck me down as I shot in the dark
and thusly I was banished.
From home, sweet shadow known
into the civilised beyond
Cast out of comfort, out of trees
into terrifying open streets
Of men and dogs and magic lands
Of cruelty and fiends.
I once was lost, tis true enough
And in my search for home
I found that such a place as that
Is one I’ll never know again
For in finding friends to seek it out
I found myself cast out from it
and ended up alone.

Part one of my epic is here! Doesn't really have a real title yet, since I am co-writing it with the dungeon master I left that up to him. Will be updating regularly! There's also a tumblr dedicated to this comic, at xadrea-shadowborn.tumblr.com so please like, share, reblog, go nuts. I would greatly appreciate feedback on this, as the story is still being written so any advice for improving my art and poetry is welcome as I can use it to improve on pages in the future.
