Description
A battle between two insurgent groups interrupted by a Gaian Federation cruiser. The rebel ships are largely either modified swarm-war era ships or refitted civilian craft and thus easily dispatched by a proper warship.

The Orion Trail region which this battle takes place in was formerly rulled by the Ellymiere empire, but is now occupied by a bunch of independent states a after imperial forces in the region was driven out by a UAH and UGF coalition. Since then the UGF has set up a large number of puppet states within the region, which has led to fierce opposition from both pro-imperial groups who want the territory to return to Imperial rule and various separatist and nationalist groups that want remove both Gaian and Imperial influence within the region.

Conflict in the region has spiked recently due to the Union of Allied Hives having began backing anti-Imperial and anti-Gaian groups within the region. The UAH were originally uninterested in projecting power within the region as they had hoped that the Gaians presence would keep the pro Imperial factions under check while simultaneously keeping the Federation occupied and less capable of meddling within the UAH's own spheres of influence, however in the aftermath of the Tasavera cluster War which saw UGF forces push deep into the UAH homeland, the Union decided to take a more proactive approach to weaken the UGF.
