Really goes to show how we can be quite different when thinking about what characters we gravitate to. If you have watched the DCEU Justice League, you'd see the reference to when Superman fought the JL, specifically Flash. For those who don't know, DIO has an ability (known as a "Stand" called The World) that can stop time. While it plays fast and loose with how it depicts seconds, it still allows him to do devastating things. "Za Warudo" is how the original Japanese pronounced it. He is also a vampire, which is what it is at night.
Oh, and if you are a nerdy type that would tell me how unlikely it would be for DIO to fight Superman, we'll just say I (DIO) have at least one Saint's Corpse part.
