Born into a gypsy family, Masque was always fascinated into the magic of fortunetelling. When he was given his iconic mask, he felt like he was someone new. However this feeling was cut short when his family and other gypsies were ambushed and murdered, leaving Masque the only survivor. From that day on, he took up the name Masque in attempt to escape from his traumatizing experience and became indulged with women, money and overall gambling. Titled "The Gambling King", Masque had won his riches and often found himself into trouble constantly. Using his proud gypsy techniques, he always finds a way out. He can be commonly found at the tavern where Ladybelle works. They seem to have a mutual friendship with each other.
