Description
So, the setting I'm developing is very fantasy-esque. Massive empires, mountain villages, hidden tribes, so on. But something I decided was that I was not going to use magic. Don't get me wrong, I enjoy magic in fiction. But for this setting, I decided that rather than having magic exist as a force of nature, there would instead be those who had made such leaps of innovation that they were seen as wizards, witches, or even gods. After all, to quote Arthur C. Clarke, "Any sufficiently advanced technology is indistinguishable from magic."
This is one such character. I'm still bouncing names around in my head for her, but she comes from a tribe that is said to live in a volcano. She's developed several "magic" items, such as that flamethrower/staff she's carrying.
