Well now, since I've finally decided to get off my lazy butt and start an actual work again... Here are some fiddle-sketches I've been toying with for the bigger, finished piece. I'm working on an entry for a deviantArt contest thrown by . The theme is the Summer Solstice. At first I started to draw the Fae at the center there in this piece, just a faerie, nothing more. But then I made her open-mouthed, a little loopy looking... Then transformed into a blushing wine-drunk face.

Then my mind started to bloom, 'YES! A party!' Come on now, what better way for the Fairy's themselves to celebrate their hour and the beginning of summer than with a wild party, a night of total abandon, an eve to throw all caution to the wind and just release, celebrate, raise your arms towards the sky and shout like airy spirit. Hehe, what party would be complete without a Bacchus-like figure? Or satyrs and goblins? Gnomes? The sezzy Fae? The Jolly, tipsy, drunken pudgy one (Ahem... ^_^; Slight self portrait in the making) leaning lopsidedly on a broken pillar.

Despite the sketchy-ness of the piece I can't help but marvel at the potential that's coming from it. Hehe... I can't wait. And I'm sure neither can some of you!
