Description
Another drawing I made for school a while back, where you had to make a self portrait. (Later, we had to cut it up in pieces and scramble them with the rest of the class.) I kept it colorless because we had to color our scrambled pieces later, and I figured it would be easier to improvise for my classmates with a blank drawing. I tried mimicking my actual figure (I am not the thinnest at all, not ashamed to say, I'm overweight and need a diet. :')) and I wanted to draw the portrait in my usual cartoony style to better portray my personality. I am not that good yet at realistic expressions so I figured this would come across as more natural and true to myself. The clothes I actually own in real life, I added my star of David necklace to reference to my Jewish roots from my mom's side and my trip to Budapest (where I actually got such a necklace) and added a coffee cup because I'm also a basic white girl that loves pumpkin spice frappes. For this project we made a bigger sized copy each time we were going to do something different with it, and we first had to draw the initial portrait on A6 size paper. It's so small, but I love drawing tiny things! I didn't really like the end result after the scrambling but I do like the portrait itself. I may eventually color the original to make a profile picture out of it.
