based from my previous poll, most deviants answered hands as the most hardest part to draw. well, for me its the hardest too coz its very flexible and have lot of joints; it is usually the last part i draw.i can't tell that this is the proper way to draw hands but i'll just share how i do it.
red ones are my guide and the black ones are my lines.
i divide the hand in 3 parts; the palm, the fingers, the wrist.
i'm not a pro and i'm still learning on this, sorry for some mistakes. hope this helps in someway.

I suck at cartoon, small not really detailed hands. I can do realistic hands when i look at my own hands.... And what about shoes! All my shoes/feet look like chibi feet, or just blobs.... TT_TT

i do that too, i always look at my hands when i draw a specific pose.

I think feet are harder though... And knees. I mean, what the fuck does a knee look like? o.O

I love how I spent £5 on a book for drawing hands last week and now I find this and its ten times better. It's so much clearer to follow, great job and thank you!

i always use guides (red ones) so that my lines wouldn't go out of control. its like my comfort zone ^^

Not saying your way is right or wrong, or mine is, but I do it a bit differently. I generally draw the outline that the entire hand makes and then cut into it to separate the fingers, kinda like the bottom right one looks. I find it hard to draw the fingers by themselves, so I get the general shape of the entire hand and go from there.
Just offering a different perspective. Great job!
