Portrait of Deet from The Dark Crystal: Age of Resistance. While going through collecting shots from the episodes for painting I happened to catch this pose for Deet almost by accident and it just felt right for her. Been wanting to paint this for a while, but I haven't been giving myself designated painting times lately. So tonight I apparently decided I don't need sleep and did this in about 4 hours. Unlike my previous Dark Crystal portraits, I went back to my main painting software for this, Corel Painter 2020, because the brush types in Rebelle 3 didn't feel quite right for this piece. I'm quite pleased with how this came together, even more so because I didn't use the eyedropper tool once! All colours chosen manually, and I am trying to be more brave with varying hue along with brightness and saturation. Now I can be satisfied that I've finished this thing I've been meaning to do for a while.
