Fun fact before posting this, I just found out about (calcite), another (fluorescent mineral) that looks like a rock made of crushed up pearls glazed over w/ the northern lights, and I swear next smaugust I'm gonna draw a Dragon w/ that mineral, if it's a prompt.

The ton la rex, or ton rex is a diging type Dragon, it uses its large 6 fingered front claws to dig it's way through dirt, rock, and some soft metals like sodium, indium, and potassium. When encountering harder metals, these creatures use there jaws like a jackhammer tap tap taping around the hard metals to then toss them aside. These dragons are surprisingly some of the smartest dragons in the world, when mining into walls they will bring there children along to pick up and take the dropped minerals back to the home burrow to be used later as a form of currency in there colony. They use this currency to trade for food, water and makeshift metal jaw tips to help them dig better. The back spicks are nowadays just vestigial, used for protection against predators back before they lived their lives in caves.
These dragons get there colors from different minerals, they use different minerals for different reasons like tribal factions, sexual displays, celebrations, and death, this mail is adorned in a fluorescent mineral known as wernerite, this mineral coloring is used in a celebration that we call the day of stars where everyone in the colony will set aside their differences to just relax and stare at the stars that they can no longer see.
