This should be the textbook example of what sepia tone is used for. Unbelievable contrast.
The birds caught in freeflight (I have a photo of birds in freeflight too: [link] ) and the dark shadow of the umbrella, shading her face, really add to the sombre and reflective mood of the image.
Thank you for this photo; it has enriched my muse and many others' lives.
