Description
My artwork for Samurott / Daikenki, the second version. At first I didn't like Daikenki's design too much, but now it's tied for my favorite final stage of a Water starter, along with Empoleon. I'm pleased with how this turned out.Please don't use any of my artwork, including this piece, without my permission. Thank you.

It took me a while to warm up to Daikenki but he eventually became awesome to me. And since I've always been obsessed with Mijumaru, I'm definitely going with him if I ever get Black or White (I'll probably wait till Grey comes out, though.)

I really like this one Xous. But you might want to do a v.2 for Enbuoh too, since your artwork is so similar to the Sugimori artwork (you are trying to avoid that, right?)

I will be making v.2 artwork for Enbuoh, but it probably won't be for a while. I still don't like the way Sugimori drew it in his official art, so I'm not in the mood to get to it.
I'm trying to avoid doing the same pose as the official art (except when I do art based on when we just have sprites, then it's nice to be close), but I want to get every other detail as close to Sugimori's as possible.

At first I was a bit confused about its appearance, but then I read somewhere that it vaguely resembled a samurai general on horseback but with the two combined, which made it much more awesome. I prefer it this way, as opposed to a predictable, taller Mijumaru with a couple more additions.
