How I should count the blessings I’m not yours anymore,
Maybe then it would be love.
Were I to sit at home and feel nothing forever,
Feel anything except the painful beating of my heart,
Then could it be love?
Sleep with your memory waking me, eyes streaming,
Watch your smile and remember what we did,
Maybe then it would be love.
And if not? What am I to assume?
Love? What is love? An age old question not worth wondering.
Maybe if it’s worth wondering, it’s the real thing.
