And this is part of a "reimagining" of the Luminoth race, also used in a series of RP's and this one actually played by , Am-Loh is a young Luminoth, part of a newer generation of Luminoth born after the events of Metroid Prime 2. Following the events of Metroid Fusion, some surviving X-Parasite strains hit some areas of the now-restored Aether, one X-Parasite infecting Am-Loh and giving him abilities slightly superior than a regular Luminoth due to the parasite living in symbiosis with him, leaving him with slight, temporal amnesia in return.

The spear he's holding is an energy spear of sorts made to counter initial ing-like invasions should they return, it can fire energy shots on command (Yes, it looks very simplistic, ran out of creative juice for that XD).

Metroid, Metroid Prime and the Luminoth belong to Nintendo.
