Today was the day. Marco was coming over, and you could help but feel nervous. Sure you had been friends in a past life, but this was your second time meeting him in this life. You desperately hoped you wouldn't cry this time. Jean tried his best to calm you, but it didn't help much. You would be calm and sitting on the couch for a moment, then you would get up and start pacing around the house again.

Then there was a knock on the door, interrupting you from your worrying. You stared at Jean, and waited for him to open the door. Jean made his way to the door and as he opened it, a bright smile covered his face. "Marco, it's good to see you."

"It's been a while, Jean!" Marco brought his friend into a hug. You stared at them awkwardly from where you were standing for a bit before walking over slowly. As Marco released Jean from the hug, his eyes landed on you.

There was a small blush on your face from your nervousness. You were finally able to mutter out a greeting. "...he-hello...!"

Marco smiled, it was just like the first time you two had talked, back in training. "Hello." He walked slightly closer to you.

"Je-Jean said th-that you remember..."

"Ah, so you remember too. That's good." He patted you head lightly, a gesture he would do a lot when training was too difficult for you. "I'm glad you're not crying this time." He smiled warmly towards you.

There were so many thoughts going through your mind right now, but the most dominant one was that Marco was alive and well. Tears started to brim on your eyes and you quickly pulled Marco into a hug, putting your face in his chest. You sobbed very lightly, and he put his arms around you, hugging back. He chuckled lightly, "I guess I spoke too soon."

You stayed in his embrace for a while before Jean spoke up. "Alright, if you keep hugging much longer, I'm going to start thinking your trying to steal my girlfriend, Marco."

You pulled away from Marco, wiping your eyes, and laughed. Marco laughed a little as well, "She was the one who started hugging me." He put his hand on your shoulder and jokingly said, "Maybe she wants me instead." He winked at his best friend.

You were shocked by this, and a heavy blush covered your face. You punched him in the side, and walked over to Jean."It was a joke!" Marco laughed as he rubbed the spot where you hit. "I think it's great, though."

Jean and you looked at Marco with a confused look on both of your faces.

"You two found each other again." He smiled warmly at you. "I think it's really great."

You smiled and looked up at Jean, "I think so too..." Jean smiled at you and hugged you close.

The rest of the day was nice. Marco and Jean reminisced about their high school years and you laughed at their silliness. Even if there were a lot of years you couldn't have been in their life, it didn't feel like there was a divide in your friendship. In fact, from anyone else's perspective you all seemed like childhood friends.

As it started to get dark outside, Marco need to leave to head home. You and Jean saw him to the door. He have you both a hug and then left. After you shut the door, Jean hugged you from behind. His arms wrapped around your waist.

"See there was no need to be so nervous..." Jean nuzzled his face into your hair.

You smiled and placed your hands on his. "Mmm...there wasn't..." You turned around in his arms and put yours around his neck. "Thank you...for inviting him today."

He smiled at you and put his forehead on yours. "Mmhm...so...you don't actually want him instead, do you?"

"Jean!" You blushed lightly. "Of course not! You're the only one for me! I love you!" You puffed your cheeks out, slightly annoyed that he would even insinuate that you could think of someone else besides him.

He smiled and brought you into a kiss. "I love you too." He smiled and kissed you again. You kissed back and enjoyed the warmth of his embrace, letting your anger melt away. When he broke the kiss, he lifted you off the ground bridal style.

You let out a yelp and tightened your grip around his neck, "What are you doing?!"

He smirked at you and walked towards the bedroom. "Just trying to show my love." You blushed at his words, but didn't struggle. It would be a while before you slept.
