No matter how prolific i am it was truly impossible for me to finish this painting in less than 45 days. Almost 350 hours of work.

I think I have made it very clear how I feel about this piece already, I love all parts of it. The detailing and colours in the water are simply amazing, and the face is so perfectly painted and alive with brilliant brush strokes, from the larger ones to the very finest ones. Regarding the length of time to complete this, quality work takes time, and large quality work takes more time. This is of the highest quality and I would say that you get the most of out the the time you put into this. I can't wait to see it in person, and I know Dennis is excited to get his hands on it, and put it into a beautiful frame.

after it is varnished it will look much better
you and I my dear have a short memory. After the signature is placed we both move on.
You know exactly where my efforts lie atm and it will be quite explosive and colorful upon its completion

Yeah the varnish will make everything on it pop right out.
We do have the exact same memory, once the signature is on the piece it becomes a thing of the past and we move onto what next in front of us. I think that's the only way, keep pushing forward, and onward, as the experience is over when the signature becomes part of it.
I do know where your efforts lie now, and "explosive and colourful" is a very accurate description, and I think people are going to love it.
I am very excited to be seeing the next one, and this just shows how lucky I am "you in specific before anyone else".

I have now diminished the strong pink hue on the lower right part of the painting and did some minor changes on the background always in acrylics. The background needs still more work though,once it's done I'll dive into the flowers with the oil paints but this will be one single layer si it won't really take ages to dry hopefully. I'll surely make a pic before I get started with the oils

I am curious now of course, but only because I love to see all the work you do. I think a bit more work on the background and then one layer of oils and you will have a fantastic painting there. You are going to need a drying room, in addition to a studio there. I have been working on the diptych here and I am getting close to working into the water on the first panel (finally).
You know I will be looking forward to the pic before the oils.
