Description
This one started mostly as an experiment as i wanted to test the endurance of canson mi teintes (which is only 160gms/m2) under a layer of a polymer film. What you see here is the first stage of it, so far i have used just my color pencils.What will follow though is a different story...a layer of polymer film, waiting for this to dry, a layer of pan pastels to fog the existing shapes, and then i am gonna work my crispy details with color pencils again. (at least this is what i have in mind doing, i cant know for sure because on the process the strangest ideas pop out in my head apparently
)I guess i am just curious to see how this will develop...

Thanks to your excellent n' beautiful coloring, this girl looks like she's going to jump out of the page !! But what I love the most, is the absolute silence shouting out loud all over the picture. Looking at your pic, it really calms me down and a refreshing feeling fills me up as if I can f e e l the girl's mood.

It looks pretty beautiful right here, the texture of the skin, both in the shadows and highlights are coming off accurately. Smoothing and blending with pan pastels will bring in a different look, I know..but this looks really crispy already... !!!

the use of color pencils alone can suffice really, its just that i wanted something a bit different here with the virtues of a painting instead of a drawing. Its progressing well, the pan pastel layer is long done now and sprayed with fixative spray. Once the details on my last layer are done i will upload it my dear, although i admit i am rather lazy in 40C

Art is to experiment all the time, try new media, test new possibilities. ISnt it nice to make your own conclusions after you know how everything is working, first hand?

i did work on it today, its getting close to a renaissance quality atm, will have to work on the crispy details on the next layer but this needs a sharp eye and now its getting late...will do it over the weekend, hopefully its done next week!
