A steel-hard shell protects its tender body. Only Caterpie found on Pinkan Island will be able to produce pink colour silk to form its shell, thus a pink colour variant.

Sprite Note
Made as a filler for the Pink Butterfree in "Bye Bye Butterfree" (EP021), and the Pink Caterpie in the episode "In the Pink" (EP088).

Editor's Note
Among my early works for recoloured Pokemon based on anime. This was easy, and is done in less than half an hour. This one is updated with a Shiny Metapod sprite as well (the one on the right), which I have not done previously. The Shiny one have a subtle shade difference although there is still pinkish hue.
