Even as Inaya rested in her den once she had her wounds checkd out, part of her was still rattled by how she came to get what would fade into scars on her right shoulder. What she thought was going to be a friendly sparing match between herself and Lucia, had turned into the teenager having grown so angry even after winning- that she tackled Inaya to provoke another spar, or in truth others would call it an actual fight.

Despite the injury she received, despite the harsh and hurtful words Lucia spat at Inaya during that time- the freckled lioness couldn't hate her, couldn't be angry at her. She had known Lucia since the young one was a cub born in Mlima, while Nguvu stayed there during the floods. Inaya knew what the cub once viewed the world, but now that she was growing older and wiser- no doubt those views of innocents was being taken down by how very curel their pride could be. How the males looked at the females, how Mtumishi looked at the cub he helped create. She was full of anger, and Inaya did not blame her nor did it make her hate the teenager simply for not knowing how to deal with the truths coming out and the emotions she was going through while growing up.

It would not change Inaya's care for Lucia, it would not cause her to turn her back on Lucia. Inaya would give Lucia her space, and when the younger lioness was ready- Inaya would welcome her back with open arms, she would love the teenager as the friend she saw her as- as the family she saw her as.
