This took many more hours than it should have...but I just wanted to constantly change it to look better.... ;w;Also, I'm not making fun of Shadow in a hateful manner and I don't actually believe that he's emo either~!
Both Maria and Shadow are awesome and what happened on The Space Colony Ark was...really sad ^-^'

but allright i will explain my statement a bit more
nearly everyone is obsessed with shadow being 'emo'.
Whenever i see fanart or read fanfictions, It always handles shadow like he is an psycho. His personality is Maria and nothing more. doesen't matter what he does, how he feels or anything at all in his life it is always because of maria. ALWAYS
This is the thing that annoyes me
because people lack to see that his character is so much more. He totally forgot about maria. he left her behind and that is great! Noone ever talks about how horrible the experiments he must have been through were for him. noone talks about how social awkward he must be because he never had anyone to interact with BUT MARIA. noone talks about how confused he must be from time to time afterall he slept for 50 years and suddenly wakes up on a planet he dreamt to visit but never could!
The thing that annoyes me about this whole Maria-card is that shadow isn't more but that to so many people
He must be emo because maria died in front of him, ALWAYS.
he must hate humanity because maria died because of humans.
he must like to be alone because he likes to remember her and wants to be near her.

he isn't emo at all! just because his color sheme is black red, You woul'd like to know why he looks that way? Because prof robotnik wanted him to look intimidating. He wanted him to look more like the black arms. His spines are styled that way to imitate the power of chaos (seen on Super sonic, and even super silver)

He hates humanity because maria died AND BECAUSE humans were the reason he had to suffer. the whole time he spend on the space colony was a living hell. (now please remember that the biolizard (protorype of the ultimate lifeform aka shadow) could hardly survive the experiments it was put through. in the end it wasn't even strong enough to survive on it's own anymore.)
But guess what he forgave them. He even helps people now. HE EVEN IS A PART OF THE GUN. you know the guys who shot maria in the first place? the guys who said he was to dangerous for this world? HE HELPS THEM!!
So you know why shadow likes to be alone? because it's easier. He never had to live together with others. He doesen't know how to act while others are around. that's why he likes to be alone. that's why he's on the ark so often. but not why the ark. FIRST it's the only place where really noone could come near him if he wouldn't want it. SECOND AND MOST IMPORTANT. HE DOESEN'T KNOW WHERE ELSE TO GO. he was created there and before the GUN closed it it was the only place he ever were at!!!
SO PLEASE JUST STOP ACTING LIKE EVERYTHING SHADOW DOES IS BECAUSE OF MARIA BECAUSE IT IS NOT

YES marias death was a horrible part. BUT IT WASN'T THE ONLY PART. BUT LIKE ALL THE OTHER THINGS WICH HAPPENED HE GOT OVER IT. BECAUSE HE HAD TO! SO STOP ACTING LIKE ITS THE MOST HORRIBLE THING IN THAT POOR CREATURES LIFE BECAUSE IT SURE AS HELL IS NOT.
He was already over it after the first game he appeared in so. Just to make things clear. If you'd draw him all angsty about maria and all sad about it it must have been happened during sonic adventure 2. wich means he still hates everyone. doesen't trust anyone but eggman. and that his first 'almost dead' is yet to happen. but the odd thing is, that this won't even be recognized.

Also, this is ONE comic. I don't often depict him as this weak-emo character, and I don't get why you're taking out your so-called anger on me. Everyone's also entitled to draw Shadow however they want anyway. I like yaoi, so I love to pair up Shadow and Silver. The world isn't going to collide because I do so.
