Description
"When the Infinity Feast was proposed to her, Harper Row wasn't certain at first. She'd never been one for fancy parties. Well, given her background, she wasn't the type to be invited to one, but that didn't mean she wasn't type anyway. So when she'd remarked to her friends and fellow superheroes, Stephanie Brown and Cassandra Cain, that she'd be ducking out of the event, the entire situation turned on it's head. To Harper's surprise, the sheer commitment and resolve to drag her along that the pair demonstrated was intense. She deserved it. It'd be incomplete without her. This will be super fun. Etc. Etc. Finally worn down, Harper had agreed to join the girls in the festivities. After all, at the very least, it was a free open buffet and bar. And well, a big girl like her had to eat.So the next matter to attend to was her attire. The note had mentioned a Formal Fancy Dress Code. Even if the Infinity Feast was composed of superheroes from across the multiverse, their hero attire wasn't allowed, so her Bluebird outfit was off the table. Her wardrobe was filled with simple tees, flannel button ups, sportswear, just anything that read she'd never attended anything that required anything more than casual wear. Even when she'd attended a previous fancy occasion (don't ask, it was dreadful), she'd been forced to borrow a dress, but that was many dress sizes ago. Thus, against her better judgement, she was dragged out and paraded through numerous dresses by the very same two girls who'd convinced her to go. As time passed, she'd settled on a simple blue number, the only extravagance being the slit on the left leg side. Yet, if she was going, she wasn't changing who she fully was. She'd grabbed a nice black leather jacket she owned, throwing it over the dress. Now she was cooking.
Once the group arrived, they found themselves filtering to different areas. Harper quickly slid over to a small bar area by the buffet (or rather what seemed to be one of many). She'd grabbed several plates piled high with food and a few drinks before she found a small table to stand by. As she ate, she watched the thrall of other going about the various areas. Harper saw numerous heroes she recognized and others she didn't. Given the nature of the multiverse, it wasn't strange to see multiple of the same person, each changing in subtle to very notable ways. Indeed, she's even seen a few variations of her own two friends that had dragged her here. However, the most surprising thing she'd noted was the size of most of the people. On her world, most women, herself included, tended to sport more heavyset figures. It seemed like that appeared to be a more multiversal concept than she thought.
As the party carried on, Harper found herself getting into the groove. Maybe it was the more casual setting or that everyone had the same predilection to throw on some costume to beat up criminals that allowed her to relax and chat it up with others. It was fun and honestly she even found a few of them cute. So as she throw back a drink and enjoyed some more cake as she laughed, she thought to herself how glad she was that she'd come."

My input into plus-spider's Infinity Feast prompt. I'm just glad I was able to get this out considering my drive died when I was halfway done with it and I had to start over from the start. Anyway, I had to give my girl Harper Row some love. An underappreciated Bat-Family member by both fans and DC Comics themselves. Honestly, the hardest part was deciding on her attire and I felt like I successful merged her usual getups and a more formal outfit. Like I said, this piece is my entry to plus-spider's Infinity Feast prompt, so check out their page:
