UPDATE: I took 3rd place! *big silly grin*

Please note that I just joined dA in Oct 2006 but this drawing was made back in early March 2006 so I'm submitting this on the honour system. I checked with misskittyoooo and she said that would be fine.

Meduim used: pencils on paper

Areas I improved on:
1. The proportions are WAY better! The girl's face, her shoulders, the guy's hand.
2. I figured out how to make nice shiny hair.
3. The folds on the clothing are better.
4. The shading in general is better.

The hardest thing I found about redrawing this picture was retaining the things I liked about the 1st drawing. I wanted to keep the facial expressions the same which was a real struggle.

Thank you misskittyoooo for holding this contest. It has been a great learning experience.
