Literally, version 5.0. She FINALLY cut her hair ubershort and actually looks her age (or older, haha, she's thirty). Full costume chibi to the left, headshot center and then hammock-head Kat to the right.

Physical Features: Mid height, thin (lack of food), slightly saggy in all the wrong places. Dark dust brown hair cut terribly short, blue green eyes, and no grandma arms yet. Scarred all over from swords and powder burns and various other nasty things. Gold tooth or two.

Clothing: Bindings, undershirt (offwhite), dusty white loose shirt, brown breeches, dusty white stockings, mud brown boots, belt #1 (brown, small buckle, for pants. Also holds sword, powder, money, and other various hanging items), extra fabric (god awful print, blueish, under belt 1), vest (brownblack, cut short in the back), tailcoat (blood red), extra cloth (canvas strips around arm over shirt under coat), extra cloth (something black, over coat on arm), belt 2 (across chest, holds sword and pistol 1 and 2), extra cloth (on head, red), hat (tricorn, brownblack, beaten and worn).
Rings – three on right hand, three on left with thumb ring on left and wedding ring. Seven bracelets – four right (strip of leather, string of beads, old chain with feather and rope bracelet) and three left (string of magical beads, stone with leader strap, rope with beads).

Personality: Very sharp and very, very blunt. Isn’t afraid to speak her mind even a tiny, tiny bit. Has selective supersitition – does not believe women cannot be allowed on a ship, but if you mention black spot, you’re going overboard as soon as she can toss you. Occasionally, she can be cruel, but not to her kids. She’s a decent mother but probably a better friend to her kids, and a good captain. May or may not be slightly crazy. Can be completely and utterly manic and has bouts of extreme self hate. Does not like to look at herself in mirrors, only the water, which isn’t accurate. Thinks a lot. Likes to lead men and women on, only to spurn them at the last minute. Is generally fair with rules but refuses to take shit from anyone, even her husband.

History: Born to a mother and a father (unnamed as of yet) in a tiny town on the newly settled American coastline. Father was a kind man, and mostly a pushover, who doted on his daughter regularly. Mother was the organizer and was harsh nearly all the time. Occasionally beat her daughter for disobeying and felt in her right to do so. Kat worked in the family pub from the time she could walk and talk, and always loved to sit on the docks at night and watch the stars. At ten, she ran for it with her father’s blessing. She boarded a merchant ship and worked her way to another small settlement further up the coast. She met her first two crew members (both unnamed). They bought a tiny vessel with earned money and set sail on it soon after (age 12). They sailed into a hurricane, and the ship wrecked, killing both crew. Kat survived by the skin of her teeth. After being taken in by a young couple, she and their son, Reef, set sail for the horizon (age 14, Reef 17). Along the way, they worked merchant ships, earning money, picking up young female stragglers and stowaways and slowly falling in love with each other. At 16, Kt became pregnant. Reef and Kat settled with Anna-Maria and Emilie at their sides. First child died in childbirth. Set sail again (17) and picked up Emma, Nina and Dayna. Second pregnancy, miscarriage. Third produced son, Maco (20). Around this time, they stumbled upon a shipwreck and it’s sole survivor, Jesse, who was a navyman who happened to hunt pirates. They kept him as prisoner because killing the supersititous man was too generous. Fourth pregnancy miscarriage. Firth produced Penny, daughter. (25) Currently sails the seas looting gold, singing songs and teasing Jesse.

Other: Plays panflute and enjoys music. Likes feeling free, like the wind. Is not going to try for any more children, though knowing her body and biology (and her family history of easy pregnancy) this might not work that well. Ambidextrous and uses two swords at once. Will brake for shiny objects and good food.
