April O’Neil, the fifth turtle! Based on her appearance in #TeenageMutantNinjaTurtles special by #ArchieComics which largely echoed and followed the #tmnt series, April sought to try and cure Master Splinter only to get mutated in the process. Her use of a single Katana and being trained in the ninja arts was no surprise either as she had been training with Splinter for some time. One thing that stood out to me was how, left with only one vial to transform herself back, she elected to use it on Splinter, who refused, and then to a fellow mutated captive, resigned to the idea that she would be permanently a #ninjaturtle . However the captive threw the cure back at her, and restored her to her human guise. I did make her a bit more feminine and added a torn up version of her toon jacket #theartofx #apriloneil
