Back at the camp headquarters, two somewhat stricken figures sat glued to their monitor. Wide-eyed and scarcely believing their luck, Lee and Mac were granted an unexpected view of Lara's upper anatomy. For a moment, guilt tinged their excitement, but it was swiftly washed away by the extraordinary sight before them.

Lara's voice cut through their revelry, "Why is it taking so long to scan my face, shouldn't it be faster?" Struggling to regain some semblance of professionalism, Lee responded, "Sorry Lara, we're running into a bit of a problem here. The system is having trouble connecting to the facial recognition database. For some reason it's offline, which is causing the delay."

Mac chimed in, attempting to balance out the awkward wave Lee's reply had unleashed, "Hang tight Lara, the drone will automatically run the Iris Scan identification method next." Lara could only groan in hindsight. Mac, of all people, was there too...

But then, as if things weren't uncomfortable enough, the drone chimed in its ever steady tone, "Iris identification: Inoperative. Iris database server connection: unsuccessful." A mere beat later, it declared, "Proceeding. Recognition method: Genital identification initiated." For Lara, this was the culmination of every Murphy's law scenario she had ever envisioned.
