The Moro people mostly live in Mindanao and other parts of the southern Philippines
which are considered to be a Mor's homeland.
They are Muslims and comprise about 5-10% of the total Filipino population.
The Moro are descendants of the same Austronesian (Malayo-Polynesian) people
that migrated from Taiwan and populated the regions of the Philippines, Southeast
Asia, the Pacific Islands and Madagascar.
There are atleast ten ethnic groups comprising the Moro.
Fightin outright discrimination for years, one of the leading Moro movements (MNLF)
made peace with the Filipino government that brought the establishment of the Autonomous
Region in Muslim Mindanao.
Other group, the Moro Islamic Liberation Front is in talks with the government about creating
Bangsa Moro, a homeland of Moro people....
