Brick made Scourge feel guilty after he executed Violet in front of Bloodclan. She told Scourge that what he did was wrong and compared his actions to Stripe's.
" Do you know whose actions your own actions remind me of!? They remind me of Stripe's! If you continue doing those horrible things you will become just like him! ", said Brick.
That made Scourge guilty and think more about his actions. Later that day Scourge saw Stripe instead of himself when he mirrored his face from a pond.

Stripe was a tyrant who ruled the twolegplace (city) before Scourge came here. He was one of the most feared cats at the twolegplace. He forced cats to kill and eat their family members/friends in front of him and his gang just to humiliate them.
