As the days passed, you had become very good friends with Ludwig. In fact, you started to become infatuated with him, but you still did not realize this.

On your normal walk to school, he had come by so that he could make the commute with you. Nozomi trailed just behind, having gained back most of her strength. This was beginning to be normal for you, and it was nice. While you and Ludwig attended classes, Nozomi would be asleep inside a near by bush. Whenever the bell rang to dismiss the two of you, she'd follow to the next class.

Ever since you have started to hang around Ludwig, those popular girls wouldn't harm you. All they would do is glare at you and mumble things under their breath. You've gotten used to this, it was better then having them harass you all the time. It seemed that ever since you met Ludwig, your life has improved. You didn't want to get your hopes up, but maybe he was someone you could really trust.

~Time skip~

It was nearing the day of your high school's Winter Formal. Not too much earlier in the year Ludwig and yourself had agreed to go together as friends. You both thought it would be a good idea, a nice time to just enjoy some music and hang out. Also, he was practically being forced to attend. Having you there would make it much more bearable.

"Do you have an outfit picked out for the dance?" you chirped, as the two of you walked home from school.

"Not really... I've seen thinking about it though" came his reply.

"Same with me, I need to pick out my dress still..." unbeknownst to you, Ludwig's face grew pink at the thought of you wearing a dress.

"J-ja... well, maybe you can come over today and we can talk about it? After homework?"

You just nodded, and pulled out your phone to text your mom.

When the two of you arrived, you entered as usual and plopped down on the couch in the living room. You were getting so used to coming over, it felt natural. Ludwig went in the kitchen to get some drinks and a snack, like he always did. He was such a gentleman.

"So, what were you thinking for yourself?" you asked nonchalantly as he came back into the room.

"I-umm... for the dance?"

"No, for the robbery" you half smiled. You were trying to be more open, and hoped you were doing it right. You'd often try to crack these jokes when you had the chance, to try and make the conversations loosen up a little bit. They usually worked, if not for a minute or two.

He smiled back, "Ahh yes I forgot about that" he set down the food and continued talking. "But about the dance, I was thinking about a dress shirt and slacks" he sat down carefully on the couch.

"That would look nice" you looked away from him, fearing that the thought of him dressed nicely would make you blush.

He turned his attention to the wall on his other side, which had seemed to become incredibly interesting. "A-and what about you?"

You thought for a moment, and replied, "I was thinking of maybe a white dress... to fit Winter, like snow" you said shyly. "Maybe nice and long... and flowy" You waited for his response, hoping he would approve.

"That sounds lovely" he was still looking at the wall, but turned to look at his hands. You reached for a cookie off of the plate that he brought in, and busied yourself by taking a bite. The cookies that he would give you always tasted so good, he baked them himself. You've learned that it was a big hobby of his.

"Maybe we should get to homework then?" he interrupted.

"That would be good" you agreed. When you did homework, it was a bit easier to talk, though you mostly just talked about solving equations and answering questions. Even so, you still learned about each other. You understood that you were both incredibly shy, and had a lot of work to do. You just hoped that you could continue working on this together, so that you could be close forever.

As the two of you had finished up your work, the clock read just passed six o'clock. It was time to go home. "I'll be off now" you said as you packed your books and papers.

"I'll see you at school tomorrow" he said his goodbye. You stood for a second by the door as he held it for you, and then gave him a quick hug. Your face burned red and you muttered a half-hearted 'sorry' as you rushed out the door, leaving him blushing as well.

You got home and ate dinner with your mom, then went up stairs to get ready for bed. When you finished, you lay there and thought over the day. When you remembered how you hugged Ludwig, you couldn't get it off of your mind. You were so embarissed, but you were kind of happy that you did it. You loved the way he felt in your arms, how thick his torso was, and how strong his muscles were. As you were thinking about this, you dozed off.
