This is a redraw of this , but to be honest I thought it looked like another separate piece of art rather than a redraw.

I originally drew this Rapidash Mega Evolution back in 2015, when I had absolutely no idea what I was doing- digital art was new to me so of course I struggled.

However, as my strength as a digital artist grew...I got more confident and much more precise with my work; now I can afford to be picky with what I produce, rather than having to make do with what I have.

I DO NOT OWN NINTENDO OR POKÉMON.

This painting shows:

-The fiery red, orange and deep yellow flames of Rapidash are a must; even for it's Mega I can see this Pokémon being engulfed by flames, which are adorning its body.
-Increased attention being paid to the shading and colour of the body- this is because without shading, this picture would look pretty terrible due to the difference in colour from the original.
-The smaller details of the painting have been given a better paint job; back in 2015, I didn't really think about editing the significant but minor parts in the painting (which didn't help the outcome much at all)- and as a result, that whole painting was a let-down.
-Rapidash has changed positions from the original because I find it difficult to draw something that is facing left, and that might have contributed to the problem that I had last time.
-An updated colour palette- of course when I did the redraw I thought about ways that I could improve the colour and the overall look of the painting, so changing the palette to something softer and far less bold definitely helped me in the long-run.

I am really pleased with this painting overall; I believe in myself more now than I ever did back then.
