On no, I'm making the Celarthur propaganda again...

This takes place a little after the Merlyn reveal ; Arthur had been assigned to be Celestine's personal bodyguard, and he's escorting her back to the temple. (Probably after one of their little misadventures...)

This is before " You're in Denial,"- this would probably be when it became painfully obvious that they loved each other, but it was unspoken.

Back then, kissing a lady's hand was a sign of respect more than flirting. (So, of course, Arthur's gonna find kiss his lady's hand!)

Arthur was basically flirting without knowing... All of his actions were actually him desperately trying to repay the kindness she gave him as Merlyn. (How do you repay the women who opened your eyes and gave you the world.)

Arthur is the type of man who "If you cross me, I'll pay the debt 10 times", which is the same as if you show him kindness. "If you are kind to me, I'll pay it forward 10 times."

As time goes on, Arthur becomes bolder in expressing his feelings. "I want to show how grateful I am to her, and how much she means to me." (mistaking his feelings for her as gratitude)

Arthur would be the type of guy who wouldn't know how charming he is. Young Arthur had that knightly air to him, but he was still new to expressing his emotions (so he was nervous every time he showed affection to her.) But will try to appear cool and collected.

Luckily for him, it's that earnestness and sincerity that Celestine adores in Arthur... that will always make her fall for him every single time. (Which makes her fall even deeply in love with him).
