Another portrait for our art class. This time we did one of our buds Ron. He volunteered to be the poor guinea pig for an hour. This one was kind of difficult and the head is a bit out of proportion because at first I was afraid I wasn't going to be able to fit all the details of his face/head into the portrait but as time went on I got worried I would run out of space on the page. They're still 18x24 large sketchbook canvases but still. Other than his head being about 2x large I think it came out fairly well. I always find trying to get different skin and hair shades to be problematic, especially with charcoal (which it was).
