Anyway, the progress was incredibly long, considering the actual drawing itself. I don't use the "fill" command ever (okay... so maybe it's because I'm not even sure how to use it ) so I literally had to colour it all in with a brush then erase such fine details outside the line that I spent a lot of time 1400% zoomed in and erasing mere pixels of colour. Well, at least it looks clean in the end! (I hope!)

As you might notice, I never did a lineart. That's because I thought I would just quickly doodle something then move on, but this turned out to be a full on project for me. After completing a different lineart today, I've come to realize that I cannot do digitalized lineart. At all. So in the future I will probably just stick to sketches, likely.

Well, some are pretty clear already, but I'll just point out the steps:

1. Sketched with a reference handy, done in red.
2. Began the adventure of hand-colouring the base colours with a brush and playing around with water brushes
3. Ta-dah! Base colour!
4. Started shading the hair using darker reds, blues, and purple.
5. Continued shading and added highlights. Worked a little blending into the colours by using water/blur.
6. Added a texture at 30% opacity and overlayed it to the finished drawing. Unfortunately, it washed out the blues/purples in the hair, but I literally searched for maybe an hour just for the right texture.

And that's it for my first official digital art, drawn with a tablet!
