Well I started drawing something and it started to look like Violet so I kept going and went with that. |DIf I try to make this darker, the shading on the face will look weird. So I left it.
Scanner scans a bit brightly, too.

Looking good! I can see you tried to vary the line thickness. I really like what you've done here with the shadows! The face came out very nice.
