THAT´S WHY IM GOING TO TELL YOU!

How to take point commissions and still earn REAL FRESH MONEY!

What you need:

Be a Premium Member BETA TESTER
Have a Paypal


That easy!  


However if you are going to do this dA takes a part of the money you earn. Around 20 Points on Every 80 points [I think]
Which makes you earn only 60 points even if you sell for 80.
That´s why I suggest you think that 1 Dollar = 100 points
Instead of 80, that way you won´t lose anything on it. *w* ~

How to do it!

You need to upload your picture to Sta.sh



Then Click on the Uploaded picture in your Sta.sh.
It should look something like this.




Then you click on the select CATEGORY
It is above the description

Then you should end up HERE



SCROLL DOWN

Until you come to THIS



Here you see down to the left "Generate earnings"
And beneath "Sell downloads as premium content"
Select THAT BOX



And it will look like this!
Here you decide how much to sell your picture for.
As I said dA "takes" 20 points/ 0.20 $ so I suggest to think that 1 $= 100

If you are selling a piece that is a commission for example I suggest that you crop the picture to the extreme or something until the person has Bought it!
OR make a picture beforehand that says "PAY FOR COMMISSIONS HERE"
You can always change how much it should cost, so you can change it for every commissioner

That way the Da points come to use again for real purpose!
HOWEVER
You cannot withdraw your money to PayPal until you have earned at least 5 $

How do I see my earnings?

SIMPLE!



You go to this box. And down to the right you can see "MY EARNINGS"
Click there!

AND.......... VOILA!

I cant belive why I cant withdraw my points to money, just if i do the sta-money-ear-download thing what I find complicated.. -.- i sell adoptables and everyone pays for them in the classic way..

i wonder if anyone has had this problem before?
after waiting 14 days for the cash to be able to be withdrawn, i got a note from the admin saying the transaction has been voided and the points have been returned to the original user.
and they mentioned "Fake sales of artwork in order to "cash-out" deviantART Points is not permitted under the Terms of Service for the Platform. The Terms of Service require an actual sale of art-related content to a genuine third party customer. "

but in fact, it WAS for an actual commission i did for the person who paid. i sent a reply note to explain that and even show the piece i did for the other party, but i have yet to receive a reply

I don't think you have to be a beta tester nor even premium to use this feature. I, for one, can use this feature and I haven't been a beta tester nor even a premium member my whole life xD Just thought I should tell you~

As much as I know, the feature is available for artists dA chooses. Now I don't really know on which criteria are they basing their choice but my opinion would be that they choose the people that they believe they will make good profit from this feature. So in a way or another they are picking the ones whose art is better and more appealing to people(that wouldn't make sense why do I have this feature, I am not that good I know people that are way better than me.)

Well this feature was always available to be used via Sta.sh :3 This is pretty much the only way actually lol.

Except that Beta Testers like you can test out this new commission feature and get a custom on their page and people can buy things from there. You set your price, type and available slots of the commission you are offering and people are able to purchase the commission. I have seen this around already. =Xeno-Ximen has them for an example I heard this will be open for everyone that can use the Premium Content Platform.

To verify on paypal you just go to your own paypal account and search where to verify it.
I´m sure you c an find it on Google! *as I don´t remember where it is*

Then after that you just put in your e-mail that is connected with your paypal account here on dA to withdraw it ~♥♥♥

Yes, but if you are not going to make it to "real" money afterwards it is kind of pointless because dA takes profit from it ;;; It is better if a person just sends you the points ♥

No it isn´t? XD;
Because that´s what is is worth for real when you buy it.
80 points is as much as one dollar. For 1 dollar you can get 80 points on dA, kinda.
But as Deviantart take 20 points on every dollar/80 points, it´s best to count them as 1 dollar= 100 points, then when Deviantart takes 20 points you still earn 80. Which is one dollar.

I didn´t come up with the rules, it is just how it is on this site. ;w;/
