Bit of Backround: (I know it sucks but I'm in a rush ahhhhh!)
Sophia was the Goddess of Fate. Deciding who lived and who died at any moment just by cutting a red thread. Before any creation of Desmon or Mary could be sent to earth she would always make sure they had a balance of good and evil. Each one was decided by her. After all, "she only squeezed, she never choked". Everyone was balanced and those who were evil would changed or be severely punished. There were more good in the universe even if it was covered up by the bad. No one killed each other often and there were only a few corruption to keep everything in order.
Sophia would keep her distance to Mary and Desmon, she didn't want to favor one or the other. She rarely needs to talk with anyone but herself. When ever she did talk, it would only be about the sins of everyone, if there were too many people or a little bit of people. If she ever got bored, she would make someone on earth suffer so she may be entertained then make them happy the moment they would lose faith. Everything to her was just, even if it didn't seem like it. She kept order in the Heavens as well that way the Goddess nor the Devil could take control of life or death. Both got the souls they deserve, so did she.
However, when Valentine was alive the Goddess couldn't control him. He managed to defy her wishes and kill in the name of love. An emotion that no human can live without or control. Sophia knew it would be best to end him and so she cut his thread. When Valentine died and went to his rest place, it was with Sophia. He looked at her and told her to put him back to earth, she refused. He kept asking so she ignored him, hoping As he got more and more annoyed he decided to attack her. Getting caught off guard, Valentine manage to tackle her down and started to punch her none stop. He head-butt her and gouge out her eyes. With the pain she had to go through, she passed out. By doing that he took her power. The eyes were her power, the source of everything. Valentine realized the only way to get back to his love was to replace his own with hers and that's what he did.
Sophia was sent to earth. She was forever a spirit from how she was stripped of her power. He hatred for Valentine increase everyday and vowed one day she would get back what she lost.
