Oh yeah. I read a reply to a sonic-gram letter, and read that since scourge was green, his super form was purple, nut in his data file, it said that he would turn golden. Also, I thought that he turned purple because Scourge was in the anti-zone (Sonic has chaos emeralds from the prime zone, which could be described as good, turning him, shadow, knuckles, and tails golden (or pink). So the Anti-zones Chaos emeralds would turn them purple to (or mabye blue). This is not a letter, just a comment by a person on deviantART.

Ian Flynn already discussed this on the Bumble King Forums. The data file entry about Super Scourge being Golden was actually just a goof-up, so that bit can be disregarded completely.

I love how Archie's reinvinted the "Anti-Sonic". He was a bit of a joke back in the day, but now he's been fleshed out to be on par with other Sonic villians. Sure Sonic has a lot of "fakers" right now, but Scourge is good for being a villian on Sonic's level, unlike guys with mass armies like Eggman or puppet-masters working fromt he shadows like Finetivus. He's also got that sociopath punk personality that sets him apart from the rest. In other words, I like Scourge. ^_^
